Senior Web Developer / Web Programmer

The successful candidate will work in a large team of developers, information architects, business analysts, graphic designers and other producing world-class enterprise Internet portals for some of the world's largest and most prestigious companies.

Job Details

Duties will mainly include coding in C# and Javascript (AJAX) as will also require in-depth knowledge of most web technologies including CSS and XML.
Ashley Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer to join our interaction Design team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building medium-large web sites using dynamic languages such as .NET (Preferred), PHP, JSP
  • Experience working with multiple database platforms: MSSQL/MySQL
  • Thorough knowledge of current standards and browser/platform variance.
  • Strong JavaScript skills (preference for ext experience).
  • Strong understanding of classic design patterns, data normalization and security issues.
  • Strict attention to detail and experience working in a graphic design-intensive environment
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn new development platforms, tools, and techniques
  • Experience working in a consulting environment with external clients
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in high pressure situations
  • Natural leader who can manage technical and non-technical team members
  • Strong verbal and written skills in Japanese language
  • Business English level
  • Business Japanese level (2kyuu+)

Additional Desirable qualifications
(experience given preference over certifications)

  • .NET Certification: MCAD/MCSD or MCPD
  • Java Certification: SCJP
  • HTML5 knowledge
